Pre-course Requirements
You are encouraged to read and understand all the information in the BLS Provider Manual (110 pages). To check out a manual, please come to the registration desk at Ruby Valley Medical Center in Sheridan and ask to see Paula Kruzich or Colby Davis. The BLS Course covers an extensive amount of material in a short time and you will need to prepare beforehand. You are encouraged to come to class prepared.
Please return the BLS Provider Manual to your instructor at the end of your class. You can purchase a copy of the BLS Provider Manual for $30.
What to Bring and What to Wear

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing.

You will be practicing skills that require working on your hands and knees, bending, standing, and performing compressions. You must physically be able to perform CPS to receive a BLS certification. If you have any physical condition that might prevent you from engaging in these activities, please tell an instructor. The instructor WILL be able to adjust the equipment if you have back, knee, or hip problems.

A 25 question exam will be given at the end of the course.

Following the successful completion of the BLS/CPR course, students will receive a BLS Provider Course Completion Card which is valid for two years. Ruby Valley Medical Center will pay the $7 fee for the card for each student.

Future courses will be scheduled as needed. If you cannot attend the course sessions shown on the Enrollment Form or the classes are full, please select the option "Notify me of future course dates." We will send you an email when additional courses are scheduled.
